Do I need any document to enter the country? 

Anyone arriving in Lithuania from Ukraine is allowed to enter the country preferably with valid travel documents. The absence of documents will not represent an obstacle to enter the Lithuanian territory. Please note that it can be helpful for the registration procedure to provide any kind of document with your name, surname, birth date and address (e.g., bank or employment documents). 

Upon arrival in Lithuania, you need to register to access healthcare and social services in the country. If you do not have a place to stay when entering Lithuania, you must immediately arrive at one of the registration centres Alytus (Alytus, Pramonės st. 1B) or Marijampolė (Marijampolė, Parko st. 9) and Vilnius (Vilnius, Minties g. 3), open 24 hours a day. 

If you do have a place to stay when entering Lithuania, you can register at any branch of the Migration Department. Please note that in both cases you will have to register to be able to stay legally in Lithuania and to access medical and social services. 

No state fee will be charged for processing applications for a national visa or temporary residence permit. 

What support can I get when I enter the country?

When arriving at registration centres, you will be provided with detailed information about the possibilities of your stay in Lithuania, and you will receive temporary accommodation, meals, and medical care. 

After receiving your identification document from the Migration Department, you will be able to register to access healthcare and social services in the country. 

What support can I get if I am a person living with diabetes? 

When registering in Lithuania, you will be guaranteed the right to receive the necessary medical assistance. To access healthcare services for free in Lithuania, you need to register with a clinic that is contracted with the National Health Insurance Fund.
